Making sure students are prepared for life after high school is a key part of education-including for students in special education classes. Collin Dorsey reports.

With April being Autism Awareness Month, the West Frankfort School district is working to make sure their students in special education classes are prepared for life after high school.
Superintendent Matt Donkin says student preparation is one of the district's main goals.

"We try to prepare students for the world outside of high school and for a career. It's not just 1 or 2 students, it's all students."

The District will hold an event featuring a screening of the movie "Swim Team," focusing on a swim team made up of teams with autism next Thursday, April 26 at 6 pm at the Frankfort Community High School.
