SIUC's Special Collections Research Center at Morris Library received a boost this week, as retired SIU President Glenn Poshard and his wife Jo, honored four former colleagues. The financial gift will enable four rooms to be named for Dr. Paul Sarvela, Dr. John Haller, Dr. Duane Stucky and Paula Keith. Dr. Poshard says a good team is important.
"You're only as good an administrator as the people who are working with you as a team."
John Pollitz, Dean of Library Affairs adds the honor goes beyond the Library.
"The Campus is the very lifeblood of southern Illinois, special collections has materials that reflect our history of the campus, but also the history of the region."
Poshard says, giving back is crucial to establishing great Universities.
