With summer driving season around the corner, the American Red Cross is issuing a fresh appeal for donors. Regional Communications Manager Joe Zydlo says the loosening of Pandemic restrictions raise concerns. He worries people will want to make up for all the activities they missed and forget to give blood.
"You're just not thinking about donating, it's not a top of mind item."
Zydlo stresses if you've received your COVID-19 shot, you can give blood the very next day. For those who have had the Johnson and Johnson shot, Zydlo adds, you can give two weeks after your shot.
